223 km of perfectly groomed slopes are easily accessible by 109 chairlifts and ropeways – and it is up to you to decide which mountain is going to be your favorite one. Snowboard Pros
The Burton Super Park on the Dachstein glacier in the Dachstein-Tauern Region is your lucky strike. No matter whether rookie or international top-pros, they all find their challenge in shaped and groomed snow parks on Planneralm and Hochwurzen in winter as well as on the Dachstein glacier in early summer and fall. Muscles aching? – No problem, a deck chair and groovy sound in the chill-areas will put things 484 km straight.You want to keep away from slopes
Cross-country skiing The cross country-ski eldorado between Dachstein and Tauern features a network of 484 km of perfectly groomed classical and skating tracks – second to none in Austria. Above all the elevated plateau of Ramsau am Dachstein is well known for its first class range of cross country-ski tracks, not only since the Nordic Ski World Championships 1999, as the „Mecca“ of Nordic skiing in Austria.
